Entrepreneurial Idea

The Unsend App

You know how sometimes you send a text message that you wish you never would have sent in the first place, but there is no way to erase it or "unsend" it. In most text messages menu's there is a resend and a forward option, but not an option to erase an already sent message. No worries, the unsend app is here to save the day. The unsend app simply removes any unread message from the recipient's text messages, if the message is already read there is no purpose to "unsend" that message because the person has already seen the unseen.

As some of you may know, there is and unsend app for e-mail for the blackberry's and for gmail. Even though, that app is helpful to some that e-mail frequently, the unsend app is for text messages, which would make the  application's purpose more efficient. The unsend app for text messages would also make our social lives less stressful. This app is a new beginning for social problems in text messages.

The unsend app will work on Iphones, Androids, and Blackberrys, and can be downloaded at the app store of these phones. This app simply adds the "unsend" option under the text message's menu or wherever the other options are located. The unsend app works like this: you send a text that you do not want the recipient to read, if the message is still unread all you have to to do is highlight the text message and click the "unsend" option and the text disappears, as if it was never sent. Texting just got easier.

  1. This is probably the one thing I complain about on iPhones everyday. I believe your app would be very successful! So many people have this problem and this app would definitely appeal to all people that text. Because texting is such a big thing in most peoples' daily lives, this app would be very successful.

  2. This is fantastic idea. I just told it to a few friends and they think it's one of the best app ideas they've heard in a while. I think your app would be very successful and people would definitely invest in this product. People always wish they could take back some important text messages, and this app would solve all of those problematic situations. Good idea.

  3. Wow! I always have this kind of "problem" that you mentioned! I like your idea. Sometimes I really want to grab back the text message that I had just sent out a second ago. Also, one of the greatest thing I like is that the app works on iPhones, Androids and Blackberrys.

  4. If this were to be created it would sure be a hit! I cannot tell you how many times I wish I could delete a sent text message and I am positive so many other people feel the same. Texting has become a major form of communicating in today’s generation and so an app that can delete that thing you wish you never said would benefit people from feeling things like humiliated and embarrassed; feelings no one wants to have.

  5. This app would be useful. However, most people these days are so quick with their technological devices by the time the text message was sent, it would only allow for a couple seconds to realize that you wish you hadn't sent the text. However, the app would be useful if someone didn't have their phone or werent able to respond right away.

  6. This is a very good idea. Many people send texts to the wrong person by accident and it could be quite embarrassing. This app would take care of a lot of those problems and would save people a lot of trouble. How much would the app cost though? Another issue is how quickly people, especially teenagers answer their phones. In a lot of cases this app could be ineffective.

  7. This is such a great idea, who wouldn't love this app. With all of the information that is revealed with the wrong texts, this could save a lot people from whatever dilemma they may get themselves into by sending the wrong text. I know I've had my fair share of mishaps with texting.

  8. I really like this idea, its very interesting. There are so many times that I can remember when I just wish i hadn't sent that text message. I think it would be interesting if there was an app where when you could see what someone was about to write. For example, on Facebook when you are chatting with someone and they are writing a message. They spend a really long time writing the message and in the chat box it will say "BLAHH is typing..." and then all of a sudden they stop and the little writing at the bottom disappears and you can never see the message that was about to be written to you, for better or for worse. It gets really annoying. This idea probably defeats the purpose of your app right?

  9. I don't know how you would unsend text messages...but it would be a great thing. Those awkward texts that were meant for your friend and you end up sending it to mom or you girlfriend. Those are the worst!
